Vermont Wilderness School Apprentices train to become passionate leaders, mentors,
and visionaries with an intimate knowledge of the natural world. Our experiential
program is a crucible of real life experiences that awaken the joy of being fully alive.
The skills you gain in the areas of wilderness survival, nature awareness, and mentoring
will help you develop your unique gifts and purpose. As an apprentice, you will learn
to craft your intentions and actions to move the world, and positively affect the lives
of future generations.
The Apprenticeship Program has given me new clarity
about the direction I am taking my life in.
I am providing children with healthy challenges
in a natural environment to help them grow into their
